Who we are...

Sigma Phi Epsilon at Christopher Newport University was chartered in 2004, and since then has grown to be the leader of all fraternities on campus. Nationally Our Fraternity was chartered in 1901 with the specific understanding that:

"This Fraternity will be different; it will be based on the love of God and the principle of peace through brotherhood... its purpose shall be to intensify and perpetuate friendship and promote happiness among its members, to encourage literature and education, and to create such sentiments, mold such opinions, and perform such deeds as shall conduce to the building of a noble and pure manhood."

Since its inception at CNU, the VA Pi Chapter of SigEp has held countless community service events, had among the highest fraternal GPAs on campus, held numerous positions on student organizations across campus, won the intramural championship over 6 times, received two Bucanan Cups for chapter operational excellence from our Nationals, and turn out some of the best men that our community has ever seen. We look forward to continuing in our tradition of excellence.
